When is the best time of year to do the tour?

Because the Namib has such moderate temperatures and a pleasant climate the Faces tour can be enjoyed at any time of year. There are however, periodical sandstorms and strong winds but these are relatively unpredictable. Optimum times to schedule a tour are January to the end of April/beginning May. September to December is also very pleasant in the desert with June to August recommended as third choice.
